    1. Thanks Dave. Huge amount of work before brush to canvas. Too big a job to make it up as going along so most design decisions worked out before begining painting. Fun meeting all the individuals, mostly up in Edinburgh. Had no idea how Id group people so had to get photo reference of each individula facing in various directions, then compose back here. In days long ago when I worked as an illustrator, found that a job was only as good as the referance and preparation, so make big effort to get this part done as well as poss…

    That was part of what I wondered. All the same, considering the number of participants, the personality of facial gesture, so to speak, is quite remarkable. I think they will (or should be) stunned when it’s unveiled.
